Observation notes: I'm not sure if this is an Eyed Brown. It might not have enough of the wing for an ID. It looked like the postmedian line was more jagged than the Appalachian Brown's. I found an Appalachian Brown flying in the same area. Habitat is a wet meadow near a creek with many Carex species. Will continue to search this area. Recently granted permission to enter this property.

Coordinator notes: This is a difficult ID. There is considerable overlap in the ventral post-median line "jaggedness" of the sibling species pair (appalachia & eurydice). From the photo submitted, the dorsal forewing looks more like appalachia. Yes, please keep checking the special habitat there in Juniata County. The habitat description ("wet meadow near a creek with many Carex species") closely matches appalachia habitat in southeastern Pennsylvania and mid-southern Pennsylvania.
