Observation date: June 26, 2024
Submitted by: Tom Dudones
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: This specimen was in very fresh condition as opposed to the many other Canadian Tiger Swallowtails in the area of late. (see observation #1383994) It also seemed larger, though without a direct comparison immediately available. Perhaps an Eastern?
Status: Resident

Coordinator notes: Characteristics still look very canadensis, but the freshness this time of year could be the start of the “Midsummer Tiger” flight (labeled canadensis x glaucus currently). A ventral view would help determine the ID further. For ID purposes on this site, I’ll list it as canadensis. -jmgesell
