Observation notes: Observed in Buckwheat adjacent to San Elijo Lagoon, in an area with large Torrey Pines, Cottonwood, Sage, narrow leaf Lupine, Mallow, and various other chaparral to Coastal/Riparian/Human-derived vegetation. Numerous walking trails criss-cross the area. Weather was clear, warm, very slightly breezy. When I photographed this, I thought it was a Sylvan, and there were Sylvans in the area as well as Gray Hairstreaks
