Subfamily: Acontiinae
Identification: Dark area of forewing nearly uniformly brown. Few scales of a different color. Reniform less prominent than in A. areli and geminocula No dark pupil. Orbicular nearly obsolete. Forewing basal area nearly white in both sexes.
Wing Span: 20-26 mm.
Life History:
Flight: April - August. Two generations in some locations.

Habitat: Dry forest clearings, desert canyons, riparian and reef areas. Elevations ~ 2,900-7,600 ft.
Range: South-central Montana to Oregon, southward to border areas of New Mexico to California.
