Observation notes: Hundreds of individuals flying in the northwest end of Doane Valley, especially between the day-use parking lot and nearby Doane’s Pond, where they mingled with several other species mudsipping at the pond’s edge. They flew in formations, and harassed the other butterflies. Weather clear, warm, slightly breezy.
