Observation notes: Hi Mike, these were spied where the Giant dumped her eggs on Rue. It's a big old patch and I'm going to make it bigger! Also, will try establishing one of their native host trees again. I realize the Giant is a stray but like the Sleepy Orange and Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, I'll take all I can get. Did put a few in an outdoor enclosure on potted Rue but most will be left for Ma Nature to nurture. Sure hope to have at least one or two to release next Spring. Thanks for your interest. Char

Coordinator notes: Thanks Char for the update and photo of the small larva of the Giant Swallowtail...how are they now...almost 2 weeks later...send another photo as they grow...you could do a successive picture of the progress and maybe BAMONA will put it in their gallery...yes, hope you can get a few through the winter...maybe you have a little more sheltered spot around your home you can place them? I corrected the sighting from 2018...don't know how rumiko got listed because BAMONA did not add that to their list until 2021 I think and I clearly stated in the notes sighting was cresphontes. I will continue to verify any photos of caterpillar growth you submit. Mike
