Date notes: I have had this photo for awhile and only recently came across your site. I would very much like to identify it. I have never seen one like this.

Observation notes: This specimen was seen on the island of Maui. the time was in the afternoon in full daylight it was awake. It was located on a rafter under a roof overhang outside. It was moving its antenna out of site under its wings and then back out in sight one at a time. The weather was a clear sunny day.
