Observation notes: This was the second year that I observed C. johnsoni in the Horseshoe Bend, ID area (the first being 4 years earlier in 2000 - sighting #698122). This year 3 individuals were observed over a period of several days by me and D. Troechlell. All were seen in the same location, approx 1/2 mi E of where the first one was collected in 2000. They were at a roadside mud puddle in riparian habitat at the transition of sage steppe/forest. Elev approx 3500 ft. One specimen was collected and resides in the Orma J. Smith Museum of Natural History at The College of Idaho, Caldwell, ID.
