Observation notes: Yay! They're back! These are the very caterpillars that led me to this website, because I wanted to know what these were. I saw one flying in my neighbor's yard a few weeks back and was hoping that we'd get some eggs on our elm tree. It looks like we have! We spotted the very first one last night. I hope there are lots more to come! Now if only I can convince my neighbor across the street not to spray them with bug spray. They thought they were being attacked last year but some evil insect.
