Observation notes: They love my pansies but don't seem interested in any other flowers close by. They have been around for a few days to a week now. I live in East-Central Alberta. Very pretty caterpillars, I suspect a butterfly species and I haven't bothered them. Several can be seen in the photos.

Coordinator notes: Caterpillars from the Variegated Fritillary are often found on the home flower baskets of pansies.
