Identification: Wings pearly white overlaid with yellow, especially toward margins. Forewing has five irregular brown lines. Note brown orbicular dot.
Wing Span: 2.4-3.5 cm.
Life History: Larva bores into roots of host plant.
Flight: June-September.
Caterpillar Hosts: Ironweed.
