Observation notes: While I have seen California Sister specimens a few other times this summer, this is the first time I caught one basking long enough for aiming the camera. Temperature was 66 degrees Fahrenheit, and humidity was above 60%. Air was still. The specimen settled on a Coast Live Oak (one of the trees that had signage at its base). Tis small oak grove shades the paved pathways that angle across the south face of the modest mesa that overloos the south entrance of the garden.
