Observation notes: Host plant was Ceanothus fendleri. In suburban backyard in Flagstaff. Yard contains primarily ponderosa pine trees with an understory of native grasses and wildflowers. Weather was very sunny and warm with no breeze. Caterpillar remained frozen on branch for a few minutes and only moved slightly.
