Observation notes: This small moth was bserved at the Claremont Colleges' Bernard Field Station in an area of mostly non-native grasses, primarily Ripgut Grass (Bromus diandrus) and Red Brome (Bromus madritensis ssp. rubens). Weather was sunny, warm (80°F) and somewhat windy (6 gusting to 12 mph). Moth was flitting about and landing on the grass. It perched upside down as shown in the photo.
