Observation notes: Nectaring on Common Fiddleneck (Amsinckia intermedia) at the Claremont Colleges' Bernard Field Station in an area of recovering coastal sage scrub mixed with non-native grasses that burned in September 2013. In addition to Fiddleneck, the most abundant plants included Deerweed (Acmispon glaber), Distant Phacelia (Phacelia distans), Yerba Santa (Eriodictyon trichocalyx var. trichocalyx), Cryptantha sp., Ripgut Brome (Bromus diandrus), Red Brome (Bromus madritensis ssp. rubens), and Oats (Avena sp,).
