Observation notes: My husband brought in an armload of logs for a fire this cool, rainy morning. In a few minutes this beautiful butterfly flew from the logs (where it must have been resting) onto the curtain. I captured this picture as it settled on a sunflower bouquet (from our daughters wedding last Saturday) which was sitting on a table near the window .
