Observation notes: Surprisingly found three Monarch caterpillars on a small cluster of butterfly weed (Asclepias tuberosa) plants. However, I saw no monarch caterpillars or other milkweed-consuming insects on nearby common milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) and Sullivant's milkweed (Ascelpias sullivantti) plants.
