Observation notes: I first noticed this Afro-Asian species at my residence in June of 2007. I have seen them every subsequent year at or near my residence where they can be fairly common from March through the summer months, being most active on hot days and mild evenings. This particular moth was on an azalea plant in a residential area, and I photographed it after it flew onto a window screen.
