Observation notes: It has been eating the leaves of Ilex crenata (cultivar "Beehive") for two days of moderate temps in 70's. I did not see it today after a rainy, cooler night. I grow a great variety of plants and have never noticed any caterpillars eating ilex before, but this variety has
smaller, more tender leaves.
