Observation notes: While searching for insects in the Quarry upper meadow I flushed this tiny metallic-looking moth from the mixed knee-high ground cover. Luckily it alit on the underside of a fallen branch practically right in front of me allowing me to obtain my first ever half-decent photo of a micro moth. It didn't stay there long, maybe 10 seconds, then flew rapidly into the shaded area beneath a thick growth of grape vines. The species identity was suggested to me by members of a Facebook group I turned to for help when my efforts provided no likely suspects
