Observation date: June 11, 2016
Submitted by: oovpmoths
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: This moth came briefly to a lantern near a wetland. It was about 1" from head to tail, did not get a good impression of wingspan. The pink on the wing totally puzzles me as that doesn't seem to be part of a Simple Wave. It was humid and 26C. Plants nearby include red & white oak species, sassafras, witch hazel, maples, violets, bracken & sensitive ferns, elm, and willow trees among others
