Observation notes: This caterpillar was seen crossing a trail I was hiking on 9-18-16. Trail was along the Kootenai River in Lincoln County in NW Montana (near Libby). The caterpillar was about 3 inches in length and unfortunately not by any vegetation. Checked your site and didn't see it mentioned. Would like an identification if possible.
