Observation notes: This is the fifth Pine Imperial to appear on my deck this year. The first appeared on June 22, others on July 12, July 15, and two on July 17, 2017. As far as I can tell, they are five individuals. I have photos of each if needed. The two that arrived last night appeared tattered, but were alive and alert. The single photo shows the last moth to arrive. This moth is at the top of the photo of the chair seat, where I moved the larger moth that arrived later.
