Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Even though it is out of season, it is definitely a Monarch. I thought you'd like the information. She laid her eggs on the few, very small milkweeds in our garden. We are raising them and have 9 chrysalides!
Status: Temporary Colonist
Verified by: Ken Davenport
Verified date: July 28, 2017
Coordinator notes: Monarchs remain in most of its range even during the non-migratory [part of the year. They fly spring to fall in the Sierra Nevada and I occasionally see them at lower elevations in the Sierra even in the winter months-Ken Davenport
