Observation notes: first time to submit. I raise Monarchs and am interested in all Leps. I was checking on my stag horn fern which is mounted on a piece of tree limb, you see in the picture, which is hung on the lattice in my carport. On the lattice is growing Morning glories and Ipomoea alba, on the outside. I noticed a very large caterpillar. I touched him but he did not move, stayed to pose. To me he was a little intimidating in his size. A little bigger than Monarchs cats. He was gone the next morning.

Coordinator notes: although the images are dark, this appears to be a caterpillar of this moth, which is known to feed on these plants
