Observation notes: This moth was on the steps to our house for several hours that day...well into the evening. I have not seen it return. It was a sunny day, 90s. Plants nearby are Silphium perfoliatum, Echinacea purpurea, Rudbeckia hirta, Ailanthus, Liatris spicata, Asclepias syriaca.
