Coordinator notes: This is a PROBABLE id of Scarce Streaky-Skipper, Celotes limpia, based on the location and the close match with the figured specimen in Jeffrey Glassberg's "A Swift Guide to Butterflies of North America" (2012, p. 327). It is possible this could be the Common Streaky Skipper, Celotes nessus. The two species are believed to require dissection to determine species. This is a rare to uncommon butterfly, however, so I am reluctant to mark it "Can't Identify" which would cause it to get lost with many other sightings. This is an outstanding photograph of a Streaky-Skipper regardless of species and a wonderful find. SAT
