Observation notes: Guide for Canopy Camp consulted Keith Willmott for this undescribed species found on the jungle trail in the Embrea Village of Nuevo Vigia on the Rio Chucunaque River which we reached in a dug out canoe ride of 45 minutes from the nearest point.

Coordinator notes: Hypoleria ocalea gephira (Hewitson) is only noted in S. America. Found in Colombia, so a Panama stray is possible. Submitter states that ID was confirmed by K. Willmott (MacGuire Center for Lepidoptera). The double blue block pattern along the HW distinguishes this species from the similar Lavinia Clearwing,
