Observation notes: A Fall time sunny day. Butterfly sightings fairly uncommon on Haida Gwaii. This butterfly was on the side of the road in the Village of Queen Charlotte on the gravel, close to where I'd parked my car. It allowed me to move it away from the road area onto to a hairy cats ear flower, where upon it appeared to nourish itself. When I returned 30 minutes later, the butterfly was gone.
