Observation notes: The day was warm and sunny with little wind. Poor picture. Just barely noticed this green butterfly as it landed. The habitat was on a coastal bluff over 100 ft. above the ocean. The last time I found this butterfly it was indicated that it had been determined to be Callophrys viridis but that BAMONA hadn't updated their data base.

Coordinator notes: You are right. I see no likelihood the name is going to change at the BAMONA website. It is Callophrys viridis, the Coastal Green Hairstreak
