Observation notes: Found in Mayapple stems. Total of eight were found. I believe this is P. rutila but I would appreciate confirmation. I have read that P. cerina larvae do not have the dark segment which these posses. I do not know of any other Papaipema that feed on Mayapple. I am currently attempting to rear them in carrots although this is a first for me.
