Observation notes: I walked around the Visitor Center Grounds from about 8:30 to about 10:30. i would see these small, dark butterflies flit about and disappear several times. It took me until almost 10:30 to get one to stop so I could get a photo. Probably about 4 or 5 seen during that time. The slightly irrigated Visitor Center grounds are located in High desert sagebrush habitiat.
