Observation notes: Observed caterpillar on patch of violets on forest floor. We were Walking in woods under cover of greenbriar, wild grape, cross vine, kudzu and under hornbeam, water oak, privet, and large deciduous trees. It was cloudy. I talked with the young children about not touching it and why.
