Observation notes: Found in groups in the sunniest part of our property, apparently resting, about two hours before sunset on a warm day in early summer. Witnessed 3 groups nearby, with the largest being about 12 individuals. My first time seeing this species in our area. We have marshland, boggy areas, young and old growth Acadian forest, and plenty of violets which I understand are their host plant.
