Two-tailed Swallowtail
Papilio multicaudata

Observation date: July 24, 2018
Submitted by: lgadnylg
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Found in Reno NV on a sidewalk outside of my apt appearing lethargic and disoriented, circling and wings folded. Easily clinged to me and my shirt which was very colorful flowers. It was windy outside and I brought it inside for photographing. It appeared to me it was dying. Wondering if it needs to be returned outside?

Coordinator notes: You found a really rare species of swallowtail for that area. Yes, best to release it. Maybe it had just emerged from a chrysalis-Ken Davenport
