Observation notes: In Philip's Butterflies of Alaska (2nd edition - 2016) this is listed as species 48 (Boloria species near chariclea) as diagnosed by the shape of the white HW spots on the ventral side. It was found at the edge of a black forest muskeg. 65 F and mostly cloudy. Has this species been assigned a specific name?; or has it even been accepted by the greater lepidopteran community?
