Joined Underwing Moth
Catocala junctura

Observation date: August 03, 2018
Submitted by: iminWyoming
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Dead. Found at the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center, 1501 N Poplar, Casper, Wyoming, on the south patio of the building. The visitor parking lot is on the north side of the building, quite a distance away, so it had to be alive when it arrived--possibly hitchhiking on one of the tourist vehicles. We don't believe it's native to Wyoming--none of us have seen this type of moth before.
Status: Resident
