Observation notes: Observed 2 Gulf Fritillary butterflies flitting around my backyard snacking on the Mexican Sunflowers (pictured) for almost 10 minutes. Sunny skies, not breezy, temp just over 80 degrees F. I believe this was the first time I've seen them here in my backyard garden in Sacramento, CA.
