Observation notes: My cat seemed interested in something and I noticed this butterfly coming out of his chrysalis. His leaves were all wrinkled and I was worried that he wouldn't be able to dry in time before my cat turned him into a toy. I carefully clipped the vine that he was attached to and taped it to a glass so that he could be in a safe area as he dried off. He excreted some type of red liquid a moment ago and I am hopeful for his safe entry into the wild!
