Coordinator notes: This was easy despite the fact subspecies deserti and A. mormo autumnalis look very similar. Only deserti of the two flies in the spring. Apodemia mormo autumnalis flies only in late summer and fall. But deserti can also fly in summer and fall. Deserti in California and some parts of other states my use Eriogonum inflatum not used by A. mormo. In southern Nevada the two may use the same hosts in some places.-Ken Davenport
