Observation notes: We counted 22 Little Metalmarks and 40 Phaon Crescents on the Frogfruit in the junction of the road where the large gas tank was for many years. We also saw Oak & Banded Hairstreaks on the frogfruit as the only other blooming plant we saw was Sandhill Milkweed. When our friend returned on the 16th both had been mowed and damaged the day before and the butterfly count was much, much less.
