Observation notes: I'm a pretty decent amateur lepidopterist but this one stumped me. He was landing on sunlit leaves in my butterfly garden (where I have swamp milkweed, gasplants, anise hyssop, joe pye weed, etc.). He was tiny (perhaps 3/4" wingspan?) but I finally got close enough to take a photo I could enlarge. I was trying to tell from his body and antennae whether he was a butterfly or moth or skipper. I'm suspecting he's a moth due to his fat body.
