Observation notes: As Per Page 39 The Taxonomic Report By Ken Davenport Yosemite Butterflies The Photo's on page 39 Dorsal color is brown not red as in Hedgerow also the out side color or Ventral was very stable not changing color as insect turned various angles to the suns rays. These were on Buckwheat right next to oak trees. the biting flies were very happy to see us and we were happy not to see any Rattle Snakes this outing!
