Observation notes: This moth has a chunk taken out of its left wing, I’m thinking a bird must have got it. I moved it out of the sun to a sheltered place and put down a water soaked sponge. Moth is in severe distress, cannot fly but tries to; quivering. I don’t expect it will live very long. Hot sunny day expected here, 75 degrees when photo taken.
