Date notes: Positive date and time taken from efix data on images
Submitted by: TraciPatterson
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Images were taken with canon lens 100 mm macro f/2.8L IS. It was suggested to me that it is a Pandorus Sphinx. Upon further research, I do not think so. I took multiple pictures at all angles and do not see any pink on it. I think its a Virginia Creeper. I live with very dense woods behind me in Hendricks County on the South Side of Brownsburg. The Moth was actually on a flower on my back patio. The woods are about 20 feet from my patio. It was not moving. It did not seem to be bothered by my macro lens getting close to it or the noise of the auto focus.
