Observation notes: I found this Sphinx chersis on the doorstep of a motel room in Drumheller, Alberta, into which I was checking in. (I would have preferred to leave the moth undisturbed, except small children were running into the room, and I feared it may have been inadvertently harmed.). I surmise it was drawn to the light outside the motel room.
