Observation notes: One inch long (at largest) larva change colors depending on what they eat. Brownish purple on purple petunia flowers. Light green on the white flowers. Eating petals only. Captured one into a jar and allowed it to pupate in a thin layer of soil. The moth that emerged 23-24 days later is shown.
