Observation notes: There were hundreds and hundreds of butterflies out today right near the lake, almost all of them fluttering around and nectaring from hairy aster plants. Saw at least a dozen Monarchs, not bothered by my presence at all. Weather: 70 degrees, 34% humidity, clear skies.
