Observation notes: First butterfly of the year. Was expecting Checkered White (Pontia protodice), thus only took one photo, and it flew on (I did not pursue). Weather was sunny, high clouds, calm, moderate temperature (low 60s?).

Coordinator notes: Becker's White will fly in January out in the Mojave Desert, I once found them common in mid-January at the south end of the Sierra Nevada in California with overwintering Painted Ladies. Yours may be an EARLY record for Nevada but no one keeps those records for that state-Ken Davenport
