Observation notes: several seen, most at nectar, one at wet soil along creek; condition varied from fresh to worn; area was burned a few years ago, now recovering; host Cliff Rose (Cowania mexicana var. stansburiana), growing on south-facing slope, seems to have been little affected by the fire; didn't burn, no post-fire re-generation; mostly sunny, breezy, mild.
